Mailbox Theft
Someone hit my mailbox last Saturday and demolished it...I found it laying on the ground...(I put it back up on it's post for a photo)... Then that person came back and stole it...I wonder if this person has a collection of mailboxes he of she has demolished over the years? They might even mount them like deer heads and hang them in their dens...That would make a good cartoon...

Tough about the mail boxes. What would Thomas Hudson do?

Hey Bron

Which Thomas Hudson are you referring to?

Thomas Hudson (actor) (born 1986), British actor
Thomas Hudson (painter) (1701–1779), English portrait painter of the eighteenth century
Thomas Hudson (poet) (died 1605), part of the Castalian Band at the court of James VI of Scotland
Thomas J. Hudson (born 1961), Canadian genome scientist
Thomas Jefferson Hudson (1839–1923), U.S. Representative from Kansas

I'm referring to the Thomas Hudson, loosely based on Winslow Homer, the paintings part, and Ernest, the Tough Guy artist. You know, Islands in the Stream.

That made me laugh since I had forgotten about Hemingway's Thomas Hudson (the leading character in his "Islands in the Stream" novel)...I really did enjoy that book...

Personnaly I don't think I could or even want to seclude myelf on a remote island...I need people ...I need to inner act with them...drink coffee or beer with them...eat ...laugh...tell jokes...listen...learn...discuss things...

Uncle Ron,

You need to reread it; he didn't spend that much time solitarily painting. He seems to have had an active social life. In the movie, with Geroge C. Scott, he would have welded up an artistic mail box guard, ala David Smith.

This is a great picture!! You have the true eye of an artist Uncle Ron! I would have looked at this and just seen a pain in the but.
