About Face Session

We had a very lovely model last night at the portrait session of the About Face Group...The group was started several years ago for artists of all mediums to practice working from a live model...We have no insructor but we learn from each other..What is handy about having a laptop is the fact that you can alter photos in Photoshop as I did with my portrait here...I thought thelower part of my portrait was'nt correct so I worked on it and came up with what you see here...Of course the painting itself still looks the same but I can repaint it if I so desire...

The Oyster Rules...

That means...the oyster is supreme....Raw ...Steamed...or Deep Fried...If you have come to know oysters then you have arrived...And we (my nephews and I )came to know em last night....Hmmmmmmm Yummy

About Face...

There is a wonderful group of artists who meet in the basement of our art museum once a week to paint and draw potraits from a live model...They call their group..."About Face"...Last night that live model wore a yellow cap and a bright red scarf... Check out their work...

when you bake your own cake for your 74th birthday party and because you have nothing to decorate it with...you decide to use a spoon and write your age in to the icing with it ...AND...you add 10 years to your age...hehe 

Thanks to my daughter, Sandra and my son-in-law, Mike and my grand children...I had a very nice party...

Ink takes a trip

We live in a NEW AGE of unimaginable electronic happenings...Let me explain...The day before yesterday I could not print on my new Epson Printer...Why?...It was out of ink...all 3 colors were out...Soooooo...I got on the internet with the Epson Co. and ordered 4 ink cartridges...( before noon)...and my order allowed me overnight shipping...and yesterday around 2 PM my ink arrived via FedX....My order travelled from Plainfield , IN ...800 miles North of me and was left on my doorknob in a plastic bag (it was drizzling rain)...

It took only 24 hours plus a couple to get it into my hands...with NO SHIPPING  charges...This is phenominal...It Is!!!!
